25% of global emissions come from food. This surprises everyone I’ve talked with since starting this project, it’s huge, more than transportation (19%) or shelter (17%). I thought focusing on the obvious thing that we all do – everyday – gives people a sense that they can do something to make a difference – plus what we eat can influence others. And being a part of solving this makes us feel less helpless, that it’s solvable, small individual changes can drive public support for new policies. Project commissioned by Google Arts and Culture, shown at COP25 in Madrid December 2019, interactive app designed and coded by the incredible team at zigzag, Stuttgart, Germany.
